Seven compete in High Plains Radio Talent Show during 2018 Chase County Fair

The quality of the performers for the High Plains Radio Talent Show made it a difficult job for the judges during the Chase County Fair Aug. 16.
Opening act for the talent show was the 9th St. Singers, who entertained the crowd with the wide range of music and dance.
Seven acts fought for the opportunity to compete at the Galaxy of the Stars Talent Search semi-finals at the Nebraska State Fair the end of the month.
The contestants were judged on appearance, originality, performance and showman ship.
Taking first place and $150 was Tazalea Scott from Westerville, Nebraska, who performed a song she wrote in honor of Veterans Day. She will move on to perform at the Nebraska State Fair.
Receiving second place and $100 cash prize was Sydnie Allen of Imperial, who sang “Feeling Good.”
Third place and $50 went to Skyler Swanson from Arthur, Nebraska.
