Wauneta’s Yucca Hills MX Track hosts NCMA Motocross season

The Nebraska Cornhusker Motocross Association (NCMA) held a full weekend of motocross action June 9-10 at Yucca Hills MX Track north of Wauneta.
    Yucca Hills was slated to hold the NCMA season’s second competition on April 15. Because of winter weather those races were postponed until June 9.
    Events over the weekend included Open Outlaw; Mini Open and Pit Bikes; Women B and C; Open 65; Vet A, B and C; Pee Wee Open; 250 C; 65 (ages 6-8) and 65 (age 9-11); 250 A and B; Pee Wee (ages 4-6) and Pee Wee (ages 7-8); Open Am and Over 40; 85 (ages 7-11) and 85 (ages 12-16); and 450 Open A, B and C.
    Riders can enter multiple events. Friday, 97 race enteries were filled and 103 slots were filled on Saturday.
    Saturday was the series’ fourth race of the season. The season opened April 8 at Arapahoe, followed by April 29 at Alma. Several of the season’s events have been postponed due to weather.
