Joyce Eileen (Dinnel) Kuenning was born Sept. 12, 1947, in Imperial, Neb., the daughter of Basil and Helen (Yost) Dinnel. Joyce, age 70, died peacefully on May 17, 2018 at her home.
    Joyce’s life was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.  She also thoroughly enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafting, refinishing furniture and putting together puzzles. She was also a sports enthusiast, and especially liked watching Husker football.  
    Joyce graduated from Chase County High School and attended beauty school in Lincoln, Neb.
    In addition to raising six children she also retired from managing the cafeteria for the Chase County School system. She is proceeded in death by her parents Basil and Helen (Yost) Dinnel.
    Joyce is survived by her children, CJ Kuenning of Grant, Neb., Britt (Erin) Kuenning of Paxton, Neb., Amber (Jared) Moscrip of Lincoln, Neb., Lance (Deb) Kuenning of Imperial, Neb., Misti (Chad) Hogan of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Kurt (Melanie) Kuenning of Olathe, Kan. Grandchildren include: Taylor (Devin) Lovgren; Brynn and Brooks Kuenning; Mason, Drew, Alexa, and Cameron Moscrip; Carter and Bennett Kuenning; Madilyn, Cole, and Maribeth Hogan; and Colin and Claire Kuenning. Great grandchildren include Jonah and Sawyer Lovgren.
    She is also survived by her sister, Elaine (Bob) Colson of Imperial, Neb. and by her brothers, Duane (Beverly) Dinnel of Wauneta, Neb.  and Dale (Vivian) Dinnel of Tacoma, WA; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
    A Celebration of Joyce’s life was held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Imperial with Pastors Dirk Weiss and Melody Newman officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
    No visitation; cremation was chosen.
    A memorial has been established in Joyce’s memory.
