Honors night celebrates student academic achievements, 2018-2019 freshmen class

Wauneta-Palisade Schools had its annual honors night celebrating student’s academic achievements throughout the school year. The ceremony also honored the eighth graders who will be moving on to ninth grade in the 2018-2019 school year.
    The class of 2022 walked in to the song “Hall of Fame” by The Script and their class flower was a white carnation with teal tips and a silver ribbon.
    Class members Kelsey Allen, Olivia Behrends, Trace Bley, Cole Hamilton, Garrett Hanna, Cody Holmes, Colby Hoskovec, Laiden Lawler, Ruel Malcolm, Wyatt Muths, Allen Ramirez, Alexa Sandman, Dexter Smith, Emily Stehno, Grant Walker and Katlynn Parrish walked out to the song “A Million Dreams” by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul when the ceremony was completed.
    Throughout the ceremony junior high and high school teachers awarded students for various awards such as highest grade, hardest worker, student who made the most progress and much more.
    The graduating class of 2018 scholarship winners were also announced. The seniors awarded scholarships is as listed:
