The Village of Wauneta swimming pool is an oasis for many students during summer vacation. The pool is a perfect place for both fun and exercise. Lifeguard Michaela Dukes, in water, stands ready to assist participants during the exercises. Nordhausen said working with the younger students and watching them progressively get more comfortable in the water has been one of the most enjoyable things during her time as pool manager.
