Wauneta site for hospital foundation’s Cancer Walk

“I do not like cancer here or there. I do not like cancer anywhere.”
Organizers of the 2020 Cancer Walk will incorporate that Dr. Seuss theme in the annual event set for Saturday, Oct. 24, in Wauneta.
Sponsored by the Chase County Hospital Foundation, this year’s Cancer Walk will headquarter at the Wauneta school track, ending with a meal of chili, soup and cinnamon rolls, said Hospital Foundation Director Abby Cyboron.
All funds raised will support Chase County residents affected by cancer. The cancer fund can be used for treatment-associated medical expenses, as well as other costs including fuel, lodging and food. Preventative cancer care costs are included.
The Cancer Walk will kick off with registration at 3:30 p.m., followed by the walk around the track started with the cancer fighters/survivors lap at 4 p.m. Other walk participants will begin at 4:15 p.m.
The chili and cinnamon rolls will be served starting at 4:30 p.m.
