Town hall meeting in Wauneta on possible new hospital

Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) will continue its efforts to inform the public on the possible new hospital plans with a meeting in Wauneta’s Senior Center tonight, Thursday June 28, at 6:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. CT.
The meeting will consist of the same information that was given to the public on June 7 in Imperial.
“We feel Wauneta is a big part of our hospital, and we want to keep those folks informed,” said CCCH CEO Steve Lewis.
Val Williams of Adolfson and Peterson construction and Katherine DiPietro of Davis Partnerships Architects will be present to discuss concerns with the current 41-year-old building.
During the meeting in Imperial it was noted that the cost to renovate the current building would be much higher than starting from scratch and rebuilding. Further details will be given at the meeting.
