I had a gentle reminder after lunch today, “Did you write your article for this week’s paper?
    My answer was no and I was asked if I could get one done?
    I agreed to try. Some weeks I haven’t found a subject for me to write about.
    My brain has been thinking on what I may get to do at the end of May.
    That is apt to be at the alumni banquet. Through the years I went to several of the banquets. When one of those was a year ending in seven I sent letters to all of my class who I had addresses for and usually had our class before-the-banquet meeting at our house. I think the first one we had was a good turn out. I remember at our first afternoon gathering I saw out my window a lady coming up the sidewalk and my reaction was “Who in the world is that!” I greeted her and had her come in. She looked very nice and after she came in she told us who she was and revealed why we didn’t recognized her. She had lost 100 pounds! She was one of my good friends in high school. Her bright blue eyes made me recognized her.
    One of our classmates was Leland DeHart and he was so enthused with what we were doing for our class and helped all he could. A couple of fellows living in or close to Wauneta hadn’t accepted our invitation so Leland went to encourage them. He had success and the fellows came.
