Some of fair’s big events switching times, locations

Some changes are on the 2019 schedule for the Chase County Fair, which will be in full mode in a week and a half.
Some of the fair’s big events, including the demo derby, the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull and Christian show are all returning, but on different days or different places next month.
Fair board member Jakob Burke is managing the schedule for the Aug. 11-18 events and said they are changing some things up this year.
The biggest change is switching the times for the demolition derby and the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull.
The demo derby has been held as a Thursday night staple for more than 30 years, Burke noted, but the number of cars and crowd have dwindled in recent derbies.
A new event added Sunday afternoon last year, the Heartland Puller Series Tractor Pull, had a huge response.
