Shaun O’Neil makes progress from fire injuries

Shaun O’Neil will be moving to a rehabilitation center in the Loveland, Colo., area from the burn unit at the Greeley, Colo., hospital, according to his mother, Marilyn O’Neil of Wauneta.
O’Neil was life-flighted to Greeley July 6 when he received extensive burns to his arms in a wheat fire south of Grant. He shattered his heal when jumping from the combine.
Although surgery was delayed due to other complications, he did have his heal fixed. His own harvested skin was used for skin grafting.
His physical therapist said Shaun is progressing at a positive rate and healing is going as well as can be expected.
