Rain doesn’t ruin Demo Derby fun

Demo derby fans may have had to wait an extra 30 minutes, but a little rain didn’t ruin the Chase County Fair’s Jaycees Demo Derby.
    Both early heats started off slow as mud flew around the arena. By the end of the night Beaver City’s Mike Stadler, a regular in the derby, won the car division.
    Benkelman’s Nick Jacobitz was second and was presented the Mad Dog award as the most aggressive driver.
    Shane Rippen of Culbertson placed third.
    Another demo regular, Heath Ehlers of Maywood repeated as winner of the pickup division.
