Potential satellite Rotary club to be started for Palisade, Wauneta

For more than 110 years Rotary has focused on finding potential members who want to give back to their community.
This nonprofit organization is designed to connect people with a diverse group of professionals to discuss the community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them, connect with other leaders changing the world, expand leadership and professional skills and strengthen and create new friendships.
There has never been a Rotary Club established in either Wauneta or Palisade, but Stephanie Malcolm, owner of Sodtown Sundries located in Palisade, is hoping to see that change.
Imperial has had a local club since 1966 that has provided scholarships, donated monetary sums to various fundraisers/events, donated dictionaries to Wauneta-Palisade’s third grade class the last three years and much more.
Malcolm attended an Imperial Rotary meeting in hopes of getting more information for a foreign exchange student program one of her daughters was interested in participating in.
