Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corporation is leading a cooperative effort to provide some needed renovation to homes within the incorporated community of Palisade using funding provided by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
    The housing program, referred to as Owner Occupied Rehab, provides families living at a moderate to low income level who own their homes, is a financial resource to complete renovation work such as new windows, doors, siding, roofing, heating systems and insulation.
    The dollar amount of assistance is a “forgivable loan” with no repayment necessary as long as the families maintain the property as their primary residence for the next 10 years.
