Marianne Sullivan receives Caring Kind award

It follows logic that someone who receives a Caring Kind award is just that—caring.
According to her fellow employees, that describes Chase County Community (CCC) Hospital physical therapist Marianne Sullivan pretty well.
Comments such as “Caring for people is a part of who she is whether she is on the job or not,” and “She considers others more than herself and has no expectation to get anything in return” were submitted with her nomination as the Caring Kind award winner this year.
Sullivan was joined by her husband, Bill, Hospital CEO Steve Lewis and Amy Cyboron, the hospital’s Chief Financial Officer, last Friday as she accepted the award from the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) in Omaha.
When she learned she was the hospital’s nominee in July, she said it surprised her a bit.
“But it was very nice to be nominated and voted on by my peers,” she said.
Sullivan joins a long list of CCC Hospital Caring Kind award recipients. This year marked the 38th year for the NHA-sponsored recognition.
She has been employed in the physical therapy department since 1991 when she and Bill lived in Wallace.
