Levies approved for county entities

With one board member absent, the Chase County Commissioners met Aug. 8. Commissioners Dave Hogsett and Chuck Vette took care of several annual items at the meeting.
    Requested levy allocation amounts were approved with permission from Pete Peterson, who prepares the county’s budget. The Historical Society requested $7,000;  the Chase Cemetery, $1,200; Crete-Pleasant View Cemetery, $1,499.40; Imperial Rural Fire, $70,770,50 for its general fund and $42,730 for its bond; Wauneta Rural Fire Department $33,557 for its general fund and $14,568 for its bond.
    Also approved was  an annual agreement between Chase County and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Support Enforcement Program
