Imperial hosting observance of National Day of Prayer

America remains in need of prayer.
That’s why Christians across the country will gather today (Thursday) to observe the 66th annual National Day of Prayer.
Imperial will be site for one of the thousands of gatherings across the country this Thursday being organized by the Southwest Nebraska Ministerial Association.
Imperial’s event starts with breakfast at 6:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Parish Hall. Gatherers will then walk to the east steps of the courthouse for the 7 a.m. prayer service led by Fr. Bernard Lorenz.
The theme this year is “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us ...Forgive Us ...Heal Us!” which is inspired by Daniel 9:19.
Thousands of individuals, churches and communities will be working to rally millions of Christians to once again heed this national call to prayer.
