Hospital health fair, cancer walk right around the corner

Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) is having its yearly health fair Sept. 30 west of Chase County Schools’ football field.
    The event will kick off with the Cancer Walk starting at 8 a.m. MT/9 a.m. CT with an opening speaker and prayer. At this time the speaker has yet to be confirmed. The walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. MT/9:30 a.m. MT and end at 11:00 a.m. MT/12 noon CT.
    Participants are encouraged to pre-register online at www.chasecountyhospital.com to ensure they get a t-shirt. An individual registration will cost $20, children five and under $12 and a group of four or more is $15 for each person.
    From 8:30 a.m. MT/9:30 a.m. MT to 11:00 a.m. MT/12 noon CT there will be 20 vendors and booths on-site with various free resources open to the community. Some of the vendors include: health fair lab results and review, EKGs read on-site by physician, blood pressure checks, weights, BMIs, Scoliosis screenings, massages and stress relief, how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), State Patrol rollover/crash simulator/helicopter, fire extinguisher training, life net helicopter, Red Cross, Nebraska Organ Recovery and domestic violence.
