Chase County Community Hospital will hold this year’s Cancer Walk/Run 5K in Wauneta.
    The event will be Oct. 6 starting at the Wauneta Community Building.
    Registration will be from 7 to 7:20 a.m., with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
    Individual registration will be $20, with registration $15 per person for teams of four or more.
    Registration will include a pancake breakfast at the Legion Hall starting at 8:15 a.m. Free-will donations also will be taken. The “Split the Pot” raffle winner will be announced.

    All proceeds from the event will go to support Chase County residents and families affected by cancer and its associated expenses, as well as preventative care.
