A tour of the Hitchcock County Museum, starting at 4:00 p.m. CT, will proceed the annual meeting of the Great Western Cattle Trail Association of Nebraska (GWCTA-N) on March 23. The group will then travel to North Shore on Highway 34 just north of Swanson Lake for a meal beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.
    The annual meeting will begin at 7:15 and will include information of the August National Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. This convention will include a tour to the original beginning of the GWCT.
    Steps have been taken to designate the Western Trail as a national trail. An update of the progress will be presented by Co-Chairman Ted Tietjen of Grant.
