Decisions made concerning new county building

The Chase County commissioners were shorthanded at their Aug. 14 meeting. Commissioner Dave Hogsett was absent, leaving Dennis Kunnemann and Chuck Vette to handle the county’s business.
The commissioners tackled several decisions as the county continues to get settled into its new building.
With the arrival of the new flagpole the Imperial road shop begin installation.
A rental fee of $50 was agreed upon for use of the new building’s meeting room.
After opening bids, Tracy Pribbeno’s bid of $500 per month was approved for custodial services in the building.
Painting the parking lot, a new desk and new table were also discussed.
The commissioners also covered issues with the courthouse.
The commissioners will accept informal bids to update the areas around the courthouse that are not handicapped accessible.
