County treasurer race likely decided at Primary

This week, the Wauneta Breeze begins a look at the number of races that will be of interest at the May 15 Primary Election.
With five county and Imperial city positions to see one or more eliminated at the Primary, candidates will be asked a series of questions about their positions and goals. Some will address specific issues.
This week the two Republican candidates for County Treasurer are presented. The top vote-getter in May will advance to the General Election unopposed as there are no Democratic candidates.
In the next two weeks before the Primary, questions will be posed to candidates for the two Chase County Commissioner seats (Districts 2 and 3) ,Imperial mayor and Imperial city council.
Voters can register to vote, or change registration status if needed, by the May 4 deadline at the Chase County Clerk’s Office.
