County, city, Solid Waste Agency plan to continue talks

Based on discussion at jointly held meetings last Thursday, it looks possible that a 24-year interlocal agreement between the city and county on solid waste services may continue.
    The Imperial city council, county commissioners and Chase County’s Solid Waste Agency (SWA) board members all had some concerns with the current operations, but officials expressed interest in working together.
    Entering last week’s meeting at the courthouse, there was some uncertainty on what the future would hold for the agency and the interlocal agreement.
