Cool weather for Pumpkin Run

The morning was cloudy and cool for this year’s Pumpkin Run at Cox’s Ponds.
    Runners of all ages came ready to run and spirits were high.
    The adult course was three- miles long. Darrin Schultz of Imperial came in first with a time of 16:13.
    The winner of the best costume was Norma Hamm from Perkins County. Hamm ran decked out as a cheetah.
    The youth race had a good size group of youngsters running the half-mile course.         Coming in first for the girls was eight-year-old Emily Schack of Benkelman.
    Winning first place for the boys was seven-year-old Lane Taylor of Imperial.
