Community fills semi for flood victim relief

Imperial and Chase County ended up filling an entire semi last week with donations to send to northeastern Nebraska.
In the effort spearheaded by Matt Moser, Harchelroad Motors set up their 50-foot trailer in the Super Foods parking lot to collect donations for Nebraska flood victims.
Dillon Harchelroad announced on Friday that they would be transferring donations from their normal Corvette trailer to a full semi-trailer owned by Ed Lee.
Harchelroad and his wife Ashley checked on the trailer last Thursday and noticed the truck attached to it was squatting from the weight.
“The mudflaps were almost touching the ground,” Ashley said.
Dillon had multiple offers from area truck drivers to use their semi-trailers if needed.
Ed Lee of Imperial was one of those who offered, and Dillon took him up on it.
