Cold weather, wind does not deter area Easter egg hunts
Despite the frigid temperatures and high winds Saturday, March 31 both Wauneta and Palisade’s Easter egg hunts brought out many community members.
The Wauneta Chamber of Commerce’s annual Easter egg hunt was sponsored by Wauneta Crossroads this year, and was held at the Wauneta park. Doxa Mukindia, bottom left, participated in Wauneta’s Pre-K and kindergartner division. Various Wauneta Chamber businesses donated forty eggs for this year’s hunt.
The Palisade Easter egg hunt was sponsored by the Palisade Fire and Rescue and took place at Palisade’s Krotter Park. Bryce Gardner, bottom right, picks up Easter eggs as mom Tori Gardner assists.
