Clay Walker to headline Cattlemen’s Ball

County superstar Clay Walker will be the headline entertainment June 8 at the 2019 Cattlemen’s Ball.
Nominated for Top Male Vocalist from the Academy of Country Music, Walker has had six No. 1 hits, with five consecutive No. 1 songs: “What’s It to You,” “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming with my Eyes Wide Open,” “If I Could Make a Living,” “This Woman and This Man” and “Rumor Has It.”  Overall, Walker has had 23 top 20 hits, and 19 Top-10 hits including the recent “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”
He is touring in support of his newly released album, “Long Live The Cowboy.”
Tickets are available at www.cattlemensball.com or by mail at PO Box 9, Wauneta, NE 69045.  The $400 Trail Boss tickets includes Friday and Saturday (four meals featuring beef) and $100 Top Hand tickets for Saturday afternoon into evening only.
Allison Sandman of the committee organizing the event said since the first of the year, things have started to speed up.
“Since January has hit, the sponsorships and the donations are really coming in, and we’re selling tickets like crazy,” Sandman said.
Sandman declined to say who it is, but the ball has secured a diamond-level sponsor, who has committed at least $54,000, and several gold-level sponsors.
Several sponsors have agreed to back the art show and wine tasting events, she said. And three hospitals have come together to co-sponsor the health and wellness tent — Community Hospital in McCook, Chase County Hospital in Imperial and Dundy County Hospital of
Benkelman.
