Bomgaars’ ladies night proceeds donated to hospital fund

Imperial’s Bomgaars store held a night of holiday shopping just for ladies.
The store teamed with Chase County Community Hospital to raise awareness of women’s health issues and passed along a 20 percent discount that night for the ladies in attendance. Five percent of the total sales from the promotion were pledged back to the CCH Foundation.
Recently, hospital CEO Steve Lewis accepted a check for $384.44 from Janelle Kerchal, Imperial Bomgaars store manager, for the 5 percent proceeds.
The 2018 total donation from 85 Bomgaars stores to local communities totalled $35,576.44.
According to Lewis, the donation will go to the foundation’s cancer fund to help with expenses of cancer treatment insurance will not pay for and to help pay for preventative treatment. Those eligible for this assistance are Chase County residents and those who get their medical treatment at Chase County Community Hospital and Clinics. This assistance can help with travel, lodging, meals, medications or test results.
Lewis expressed his appreciation to Bomgaars for the gift.
