Allen McGregor still awaiting trial date

A former Wauneta man still is awaiting a trial date on two felony charges and four misdemeanors stemming from an incident last summer.
Allen E. McGregor, 56, now of Phillips, was arrested Aug. 18 in Dodge County.
He was scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19, but the case was continued at the request of his attorney.
His next appearance in Dodge County District Court is scheduled for April 1. That will be a status hearing to update the judge on where the case is, according to the Clerk of District Court’s office.
He is charged with terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony, both felonies; and driving while intoxicated second offense, third degree domestic assault, and two carry concealed weapon violations, all misdemeanors.
The maximum sentence on the terrorist threats charge is three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The maximum on the use of a weapon charge is 50 years in prison with a five-year mandatory minimum.
Court documents say on Aug. 18 police clocked a 2012 Chevolet Impala at 59 mph in a 50 mph zone on West Military Avenue in Dodge County. It was pulled over and McGregor was the driver.
