Western States Bank made donations to nine area organizations during its first annual “Giving from the Heart” ceremony. Western States Bank had its annual “Giving from the Heart” program. The yearly initiative ended with a ceremony held on Valentine’s Day at all Western States Bank locations.

The Wauneta-Palisade boys’ basketball team picked up a huge win Friday, beating Dundy County-Stratton 82-79.

There are still tickets available, and at the earlier purchase price, for next week’s “Celebrate Agriculture” program in Imperial.

Cost-share funds that pay for up to one-half of the cost of soil moisture probes are available from the Upper Republican NRD.

Based on projections by the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR), pumping on Rock Creek and Lincoln County augmentation projects may not be needed in 2018.

The Wauneta-Palisade Schools’ FFA team has competed at several area competitions. The most recent one being the Career Development Events (CDE) competition in Curtis.

Nebraska Corn is a proud supporter of the FFA organization and is excited to celebrate National FFA Week, which takes place February 17-24, 2018.

The February Wauneta-Palisade School Board meeting, Feb. 6, 2018, did not take up too much time.
