Skow gets $1,000 FFA scholarship

One of this year’s Wauneta-Palisade High School graduates is one of fewer than 1,900 people nationwide to receive a $1,000 college scholarship from FFA’s national organization.
Reagan Skow, 18, Palisade, was awarded a $1,000 AGCO Dealer Scholarship by the group.
Skow’s scholarship is sponsored by Harchelroad Motors.
In applying for the scholarship on the FFA website, Skow had to tell officials what her supervised agricultural experience was, what organizations and activities she participated in at school and what service projects she has done.
Her supervised experience was in beef entrepreneurship.
“I have a registered herd of Angus cattle and I sold [some] in my family’s annual bull sale.”
For service projects, she participated in Mercy Meals, helped with bingo at the senior center and did some cleaning up around town, “just kind of some little things here and there,” she said.
