Kids and adults alike got a workout Friday, Aug. 18 during the Pedal Tractor Pull at the Chase County Fair. There were 136 pulls on the day, including 24 adult pulls.
    The largest turnout was in the seven-year old boys’ division with 12 pullers. There were 11 six-year old girls and 11 four-year old boys.
    The top three in each boys’ and girls’ division were eligible to compete at the Nebraska State Fair this past Sunday.
    All youth pullers received ribbons and all first-place finishers received gift certificates.
    Taking top spot in the women’s division was the team of Vanessa Terryberry, Makayla Bartles and Jennifer Stafford. Brad Chubb, Trent Spady and Derek Stafford won the men’s division, while first place in the mixed group were Emily Vogt, Matt Terryberry and Jake McDaniel.
