Lady Broncos happy to be back on the court

Wauneta-Palisade volleyball players and coaches are feeling fortunate to be back in action this fall.
“We are so happy and fortunate to be back in the gym together as a team, doing what we love,” Head Coach Terra Higgins said. “This pandemic has been so eye-opening to us, and really makes us all not take any of the time we have together on the court for granted.”
In effort to stay healthy for tonight’s (Thursday’s) first game of the season at Hitchcock County, Higgins and WP administration decided to skip last week’s Jamboree game at Cambridge.
“I think the kids were just as disappointed as us coaches were, but at the end of the day we have to do what’s best for the team and we are just hoping to be able to play our full fall schedule,” Higgins said.
She added that she’s excited about this season’s schedule. Higgins feels the addition of some new teams the Broncos haven’t seen before will be good competition for WP.
