Western States Bank made donations to nine area organizations during their first annual “Giving from the Heart” ceremony Tuesday. Western States Bank “Gives from the Heart” on Valentine’s Day

Nine area organizations are able to better support their missions in 2017 thanks to donations from the Western States Bank “Giving from the Heart” program.
    Western States Bank Senior Vice President/Wauneta President Brenda Anderson said the yearly initiative culminates in a ceremony held every year on Valentine’s Day at all Western States Bank locations.
    Recipients of 2017 “Giving from the Heart” donations from the Wauneta branch include Imperial Young Farmers FFA for its pork dinner at the Chase County fair, Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department for its nutrition and health day, SCORE Science Camp, Wauneta Girl Scouts for a trip to Denver, Southwest Nebraska Rodeo for a belt buckle for the rodeo in McCook, Pheasants Forever for its banquet, Wauneta Volunteer Fire Department for the Fireman’s Ball, Chase County Community Hospital Foundation for the Slice Fore Life golf tournament and cancer walk and Wauneta Boy Scouts for its pinewood derby.
