Rev. Melvin K. Johnson - January 25, 2010

Rev. Melvin K. Johnson, 82, of Maxwell, Neb., passed away Jan. 25, 2010, at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center, North Platte, Neb.
He was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Springbrook, Wisc., to John E. and Myrtle Haynes Johnson.
He is survived by wife Irene Johnson of Maxwell; two daughters Cheryl and husband Rick Millen of Duluth, Minn., and Alice and husband Roger Yost of Maxwell; son Tim Johnson and wife Darla of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers Wesley Johnson and wife Beverly of Kallispell, Mont., Helmer Johnson and wife Betty of Superior, Wisc., and Arlen Johnson and wife Sandy of Spooner, Wisc.; sister Marjorie Smith of Minong, Wisc., and sister-in-law Lois Johnson of Superior, Wisc.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. CT at the Parkview Community Church of the Nazarene in North Platte. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with military honors graveside.
