Anna Rowley - November 10, 2013

Anna Kathrine Rowley was born Sept. 21, 1941, to Jay John and Doris Elizabeth (Meisner) Ruppert on the family farm near Quick, Neb.
Ann attended country school for eight years and graduated from Curtis High School in 1959.
She married Cecil Warren Rowley on Aug. 15, 1959, and the couple settled in Wauneta.
Ann first worked at the lumber yard in Wauneta and then at Walgren’s Super Market where she worked as a meat cutter for 38 years, retiring in 2010.
She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, working on puzzles, being on Facebook, and going to Crossroads for coffee.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Wauneta where she and Cecil were baptized on May 18, 1989.
Ann passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 10, 2013, at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, Neb. She was 72 years of age.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil Rowley; son Russell Rowley; daughter Patty Rowley; brothers Dale and Homer Ruppert; sister-in-law Lola Ruppert; brothers-in-law Gary Trosper, Marlin Zimbelman, and Ferris Magee.
Survivors include: sons Jerry Rowley and wife Lori of Imperial, Neb., and Kelly Rowley and wife Amanda of Logan, Utah; eight grandchildren: Cherie Maline, Celeste Wenger, Lora Villarreal, Anthony Rowley, Keltyn, Kadrian, Annaka and AlliJo Rowley; four great grandchildren: Jarod and Jake Wenger and Jaxsen and Benjamin Villarreal; brothers: John Ruppert of McCook, Neb., and Robert Ruppert and wife Jean of Maywood, Neb.; sisters: Helen Magee and Mary Zimbelman, both of McCook; sisters-in-law, Donna Ruppert and Naomi Ruppert, both of McCook and brother-in-law, Roger Rowley of Wauneta, Neb.
Visitation was held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 13, 2013, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. MT at the Funeral Home in Wauneta.
Funeral services for Ann were held Thursday morning, Nov. 14, 2013, 10:30 a.m. MT at the Wauneta Church of Christ, Wauneta, with Randy Hayes officiating.
Congregational hymns chosen were “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”
Casketbearers were Craig Maline, Armando Villarreal, Mike Lorimer, Shane Wenger, Kenny Ham and Jeff Steinke.
Interment followed at the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.
