Mandie was gifted with a double lung transplant that awarded her 3 1/2 more years with her daughter and other loved ones. With that gift of life, Mandie became an advocate for organ donation.
In 2007, she met Troy Douglas. He quickly became the love of her life. They married on December 29, 2007. To this union a child was born, Tryphena Grace. Tryphena became her sunshine.
