Terrin Lee Barnard - May 21, 2012
Terrin Lee Barnard was born July 21, 1983, in Newton, Kan. He was raised in the Wauneta, Neb., area by his parents, Todd and Teresa (Leatherman) Barnard.
Terrin attended and graduated high school at Wauneta-Palisade High School.
He went on to attend three years of college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
He made Fruita, Colo., his home where he worked for Rocky Mountain Earth, working on and around natural gas drilling rigs.
Terrin had a passion for life. He had many hobbies that he shared with family and friends, many of which included going fast, the outdoors, or both. He enjoyed rock climbing, hiking, dirt bike riding and Motocross. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.
Terrin passed away May 21, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Neb. He was 28 years old.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and grandfather, Allan Dale Leatherman.
Survivors include parents, Todd and Teresa Barnard of Wauneta, Neb.; brother, Kevin Barnard of Imperial, Neb.; grandparents, Doug and Shari Barnard of Lamar, Neb., Elaine Leatherman of Moundridge, Kan.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
?Funeral services for Terrin Barnard were held Friday, May 25, 2012, 11 a.m. (MT) at the Crossroads Wesleyan Church, Imperial, with Pastor Todd Burpo and Dr. Daniel Marshall officiating.
?Music was provided by Brian Pankonin, Andy and Calena Ohlson and Margaret Schmidt.
?Casketbearers were Mitchell Burlew, Carl Hodel, Eric Barnard, Kyle Barnard, Koda Yost and Logan Yost.
Honorary casketbearers were Luke Deyle and Lance Kimble.
Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, Neb.
Memorials have been established to the Chase County Hospital or the Down Rider’s Fund, c/o the Cornhusker Motocross Association.
