Wayne Einspahr - March 08, 2012

Wayne T. Einspahr, 88, of Sutherland, Neb., went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2012, at the Sutherland Care Center.
Wayne was born on Nov. 22, 1923, at Hamlet, Neb., to Theodore and Susie (Herbert) Einspahr.
He grew up in Wauneta and graduated from Wauneta High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945 in Normandy, Germany.
He married Shirley Wainsley in Oberlin, Kan., on May 25, 1947. To this union three children, Cynthia, David and Michelle, were born.
He worked in the plumbing and heating business until he hired on as a pipefitter with the UPRR, retiring after 21 years.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a beloved Husker Fan. His words of wisdom always came from the Bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dick and Robert; sisters, Norma Schultz and Millie Long.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Sutherland; daugthers Cynthia (Bill) Allgood and Michelle (Jack) Blomstedt and son David (Cindy) Einspahr, all of Sutherland; sisters, Beulah Purdy of Wauneta and Delores (Claude) Cappell of McCook and his brothers, Donald (Pat) Einspahr of McCook and Alvin (Kaye) Einspahr of Enders, Neb.; grandchildren, Justin (Tabitha), Jaden, Garrett and Brook Blomstedt; Robyn (Kelly) Kendall, Lane (Connie) Dancer, Matt (Vicki) Dancer, 11 grandchildren, four great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials services were held Monday, March 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Sutherland with Rev. Judy Gifford officiating.
Music was provided by Art Soderholm, soloist and Jo Lee, accompanist. Hymns chosen were “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.”
Honorary bearers were all of Wayne’s grandchildren.
Burial was in the Sutherland Cemetery at Sutherland.
Carpenter Service of North Platte was in charge of arrangements.
