Robert Clifford Gage, 54, of Longmont, Colo., died Dec. 18, 2011, at the Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colo.
Bob was born on Nov. 21, 1957, to Keith and Mary Etta (Moody) Gage at the Chase County Hospital in Imperial, Neb. He grew up in the Hamlet and Wauneta communities, and graduated in 1976 from Wauneta High School. Bob attended college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Kearney State College. He then determined that his true gift was in the technical field, so he enrolled at Mid Plains Vocational Technical College in North Platte where he graduated with an Electrical Technology Diploma.
On July 17, 1982, he married Cynthia Cramer in Wauneta, and the couple had a busy life starting their family and farming north of Wauneta while Bob attended school. Bob was able to utilize his electrical degree and further his technical experience in a variety of work settings over the years in Nebraska, California, and finally settling in Longmont, Colo., in July 2001 where he worked as a master electrician at Digital Globe until the time of his death.
Bob will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his love of fishing and sports, and that remarkable talent of being able to repair things and make them new again.
