Steven Kruger - May 28, 2010
Steven Wayne Kruger was born on Jan. 9, 1957, in Luverne, Minn., to Leroy and Patricia (Abraham) Kruger. Following a car acident on Dec. 19, 1959, which took his parents’ lives, Steven and his brother, Curt, went to live with Martin and Marie Kruger in George, Iowa.
Steven grew up in George and graduated from the George High School in 1975. One of Steven’s joys in high school was wrestling and in his senior year placed sixth in the state tournament.
Following his graduation, Steven worked in the construction trade, finally settling in Imperial, Neb. Steven later moved to Wauneta, Neb., where he resided until his death on May 28, 2010.
Steven is survived by his brothers, Curt of George, Iowa and Henry Kruger and wife Deanna of Ashton, Iowa; sister-in-law Marilyn Kruger of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and three nephews: Dean Kruger and wife Carol of Little Rock, Iowa, Dan Kruger and wife Cheryl of Slater, Iowa, and Larry Kruger of Marion, Iowa.
?He was preceeded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank; and one niece, Monica.
?Memorial Services were held Saturday June 26, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Zoar Presbyterian Church in George with Rev. Dale Lint officiating.
Congregation hymns chosen were “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “How Great Thou Art,” accompanied by Bobbi Lint.
Interment was at Zoar Cemetery.
