Steve and Nancy Noble of Wauneta announce the engagement of their son, Cody, to Kari Cole, daughter of Jean Cole and the late Richard Cole of Funk, Neb. The couple will exchange wedding vows at Slattery Vintage Estates Vineyard in Nehawka, Neb., on Sept. 10, 2011.

The bride-elect graduated from Axtell High School in 2000. She attended Doane College and obtained a degree in Psychology in 2004. She is currently employed as a Trade Relations Representative at Nestle Purina in Crete, Neb.

The prospective groom graduated from Wauneta/Palisade High School in 2002. He attended Southeast Community College and obtained a degree in Visual Publication as well as the transfer course in Business and Marketing. He is currently employed at Dell in Lincoln, Neb., as an IT Manager.

The couple will reside in Lincoln.

Amanda Johnston of Wauneta and Jacob Pankonin of Imperial would like to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the bride-elect are Nancy Jaeger of Imperial and John Johnston of Wauneta. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pankonin of Imperial.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade High School. She will be in her second year at Northwest Kansas Technical School in Goodland, Kan., and is studying graphic design.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2010 graduate of Chase County Schools. He also will be in his second year at Northwest Kansas Technical School in Goodland, Kan., and is studying auto technology.

The wedding is planned for July 30, 2011, at Crossroads Wesleyan Church in Imperial.

Jenna Marie Britten and Kevin James Carstensen, both of Lincoln, Nebr., announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the bride-elect are Pam Britten of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and the late Roger Britten. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Jim and Joan Carstensen of North Platte, Nebr.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree and is a teacher for Lincoln Public Schools.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of North Platte High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He is currently studying to be a Physician Assistant at Union College in Lincoln.

The wedding is planned for July 9, 2011, at Emanuel Church of the Nazarene in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The couple will reside in Lincoln after the wedding.

Casey Haarberg proposed to Kristi Alford on Oct. 10, 2010, and they have set the wedding date for June 11, 2011.

The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the Palmer Course at the Woodlands Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Casey and Kristi, both of Denver, Colo., together own and operate E2 Optics, LLC.

Kristi’s parents are Missy Alford from The Woodlands, Texas, and the late Larry Alford.

Casey’s parents are Frank and Angie West of Wauneta, Neb. His grandparents are Sharon Haarberg of Wauneta, Neb., and the late Lavon Haarberg and Lois West of Stratton, Neb., and the late Arwyn West.

Jessica Haack and Dustin Noble would like to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding on Sept. 18 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Swedehome, Neb.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Osceola Public High School and Wayne State College. She received her bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science from UNMC in 2007. She currently works as a lab supervisor at Gothenburg Family Practice in Gothenburg.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Wauneta-Palisade High School. He is currently employed with Progressive Insurance as a claims adjuster and also owns and operates Noble Outdoors, a world record fishing website as well as an outfitting business in western Nebraska.

Parents of the couple are Mike and Anita Haack of Osceola and Steve and Nancy Noble of Wauneta. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Marvin and Betty Haack and Howard and Roberta Warner, all of York. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Phyllis Yoder of Wauneta, Wilber Yoder of Lincoln and Shirley Noble of Albion and the late Earvin Noble.

The couple will reside in Gothenburg.
