The Chase County Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge is currently accepting applications for its trip to Valley Forge, Penn. and Washington, D.C.
    Applications are available at the Chase County Schools (CCS) and Wauneta-Palisade Schools offices. The application deadline is Friday, Dec. 12.
    Interviews are set for Tuesday, Dec. 16 at CCS.
    The trip is scheduled for March 12-18, 2009. Scholarships are available to the top interviewees.

FFVF organization raises money for student trip

    The recent annual Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge Chase County Chapter Christmas House raised $2,000 for a trip for students to Valley Forge, Pa. and Washington, D.C. this coming spring.
    The event, held at the home of Larry and Carrie Talbott, featured the sale of baked goods, craft items, and Christmas items. In addition, a drawing netted $700. Diane Bauerle of Denver won a weekend at a Winter Park condominium owned by Linda Mollendor.
