The 2015-2016 Republican Plains Activity Conference Art Contest was held on January 20 in Cambridge.

All 14  members of the conference took part in the contest with honors going to the best submissions from each school.

Wauneta-Palisade art instructor Chad Cochran sent 12 entries to the contest. Judges reviewed each entry and selected the top four for each school.

Dharma Blake-Cole was WP’s medal winner for her piece “Owl.”

First honorable mention went to Miranda Behrends “Time.”
Kaylee Manley earned second honorable mention for “Light of Art.”

Fourth honorable mention went to Taylor Hiett for “Big Cat.”

The “Best of Show” winner for 2015-2016 was Brooke Beckius of Paxton High School with “Torn,” a drawing in white charcoal.
