The Chase County 4-H Market Beef Weigh-In is set for Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Imperial at Imperial Livestock Auction Market. All Chase County 4-H and FFA members planning to exhibit market heifers or market steers are invited to weigh-in, tag and identify their projects at this time.
Any youth planning to exhibit at the Nebraska State Fair or Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Exposition will also be required to collect hair samples for DNA purposes. There will be a handling fee for each animal identified to exhibit at these shows, cost is to be determined.
If you cannot make it to the market beef weigh-in in Imperial, you need to make arrangements to weigh, tag and identify at the Perkins County beef weigh in, February 13. Please call Debbie Kuenning, Extension Educator at your local UNL Extension Office if you need to make these arrangements.
