As a Winter Break celebration, the Hamlet Union Church invited area youth to play Archery Tag at the Palisade Attendance Center.
Youth minister Joshua Clark said the church tries to do a community event for high school students but missed having one this fall.
Hamlet Union Church purchased the equipment, including blinds, bows and foam-tipped arrows, this fall and Hitchcock County Schools recently rented it for a junior class fund raiser.
The church contacted area schools and youth groups to invite students to play for free Dec. 16.
Attendees were counted off into teams of six and did a round-robin style tournament. Top honors went to teams three and six.
Clark said the church will rent out the equipment and plans on setting up at summer events in area, such as Palisade Pioneer Days and Wauneta Harvest Fest.
