Senior Center Happenings
By Myra Large
Thanksgiving is past and Christmas is fast approaching. We hope this finds everyone ready for the holiday season. If you are planning a family get together and find your house is too small, family too big or if you just don’t want to clean, give the Center a call.
We do seem to stay busy at the Center with our many activities. The Senior Center will have their board meeting Dec. 11. The Center so appreciates the Board members who help in the Center with the pancake suppers, the Sunday dinners and just keeping the Center a nice place to work and eat.
We are thankful for those who take time out of their day to deliver meals, help with the dishes, clean up, those who volunteer at the front desk and for the many donations to the Center. We appreciate their very generous support of the Center.
The birthday/anniversary dinner will be Dec. 9. We are having a soup supper on Dec. 13 to help raise money to paint the dining hall. Please come and enjoy a variety of soups and desserts. Everyone is welcome.
We will not have a pancake supper this month or a Sunday dinner because of the Christmas holiday. We will be closed on Dec. 25 so our staff can enjoy time with family.
We had several donations in November and we are very thankful for all who step up and donate to the Center.
Thank you to those who support us in any form, we so appreciate it.
Our sponsor for the month of December is Frenchman Auto. We are very thankful for the support of our sponsors, they help defray the cost of the newsletter and we appreciate their contribution to the Center. Thank you Dave for your continued support.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year from the Senior Center.
