The Wauneta Medical Clinic Foundation recently purchased a new IEC Diagnostic ECG, commonly known as an EKG, machine for the Chase County Clinic in Wauneta.
Foundation representative Tony Cribelli said the equipment, delivered on Nov. 30, was recommended by the clinic’s health care providers, especially the nurses, who cited the old machine had too much wear and needed to be replaced.
Cribelli mentioned that the cost was about $2,400 and that the purchase provides a “much-needed upgrade to the clinic.”
Ronda Sargent, Clinic Manager at Chase County Community Hospital and Clinics, explained two different machines were tested before the one purchased was chosen.
“The new equipment will be beneficial, not just for acute heart patients, but also for pre-op. It will save on travel for patients, ” Sargent noted. “We would like to express our appreciation to the foundation for such a large donation.”
