Wauneta-Palisade junior Greg Gaston has been selected to attend the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Ga. Nov. 27 through Dec. 1. Gaston is one of 30 Nebraska 4-H members chosen to attend.
A member of Driftwood Feeders 4-H club in Red Willow County, Gaston has participated in livestock events, such as sheep, goats, pigs, as well as, horticulture, floriculture, baking and companion animal events.
Participants were selected based on their career portfolios, which were judged at a county, district, state, then national level, plus specific curriculum areas and community involvement.
Gaston said he is looking forward to hearing the various speakers at the event and also meeting other 4-Hers.
Over 1,200 4-H members from across the country will attend the conference to listen to motivational speakers, attend leadership seminars and participate in community service projects.
