Hendricks Cattle Co. returned to the Chase County Fair Tuesday night and, once again, went home as champions of the Ranch Rodeo.
Team members Taylor Hendricks, CJ Pankonin, Sage Haythorn and Darren Sellers were first in Stray Gathering and second in Doctoring/Yoking, finishing with a combined time of 2 minutes, 33 seconds.
For the Doctoring/Yoking part of the rodeo, teams had to head and heel one steer. The head rope was then moved to the front feet and the steer was marked on its head. The team then could go after a second steer. The steer was roped and tied by its horns to a post in the arena.
After an intermission, the teams moved on to Stray Gathering.
Two steers each had to be headed and heeled, then tied down by three legs. Both steers had to remain down for six seconds.
Placing second was The Golden Boys. The team was made up of Tim Krab, Jarrod Eakins, Trey White and Levi Fisher. Their combined time was 3:22.
Kucera Ranch placed third, finishing with a time of 3:49. Team members were Ryan and Sara Kucera and Chase and Jamie Nichols.
