Forty-six brave kids showed up at the Chase County arena Wednesday afternoon to battle sheep in Mutton Bustin’.

Taylor Maddux was tops for seven-year-old boys with a full ride on the day’s second ride.

Cyann Weiss and Abby Spicer each had full rides in the seven-year-old girls’ division, with Spicer taking home the trophy.

For six-year-old boys, Dominic Harris earned top honors and Ali Reeves for the girls.

Winning the five-year-old brackets were Bennett Kuenning and Jade Cook.

Five riders were under age five and rode in an exhibition.

Winners advance on to the State Fair competition.
